APPLICATIONS AND DESIGN:
The LEX Series Dobby was developed with a focus on today's increasing market demands for speed, and quality
Air/ Water Jet woven products. When fitted with Yamada's optional ARD device, the traditional dobby prohibitive
zones (prohibited reverse motion areas) have been eliminated. This option allows the loom direction to be
reversed from any position, thus helping improve cloth quality. Yamada Engineers have incorporated several
design changes into the LEX which greatly improve the durability, and reduce the operational cost of the dobby.
- The LEX is equipped with larger, more robust load bearing components,
(bearings, cams, hooks, etc.)
- The internal clearances of almost every component have been substantially reduced,
thus reducing vibration and noise
- The dobbys oil volume has also been reduce from 16 liters -->8 liters, thus reducing the year to year lubrication, and
oil disposal cost. At the same time Yamada incorporated a new direct connection oiling system, which is coupled with an
increased capacity oil pump
- The wire cable connection (Shedding Lever) has also been redesigned. The new Shedding Lever eliminates the need
for bushings and lubrication, thus allowing this critical area to be virtually maintenance free
